These earrings are from a 1992 exhibition and were available at the Metropolitan Museum of Art store inside the museum. Please note that the last two pictures are the original earrings that were featured in the exhibition and date to the 18th century. The earrings being sold are reproduction copies of those. They are in very nice vintage condition with minimal evidence of wear. The ones being featured in this listing are 925 Sterling Silver and have been tested. They have a layer of goldplate vermeil which gives them a bright gold finish. They are studied with garnet and peridot gemstones. Measuring 3/4 of an inch they weigh 10.3 g and have clip backs which work properly as they should.
